ISO 3200 - Neat Image noise reduction software and curves adjustment.
Low light with a bright smile :) Really cool processing, I like it!

@MadScientist: Thanks, MadS, the low-light gave inherent increase in contrast, so it was simply getting the noise down. The Canon 5D helps alot, too.
Very nice. I like the soft effect.

@Helen: Thanks, I think I actually have to calibrate my lens (or get corrective lenses). haha!
Amazing how you turned out a great portrait in low light. This is a challenge. I like your subject's expression and smile a lot. Funny how she has her sunglasses on her head, too! The arch behind her makes a frame that is quite effective, I'd say! Great process on noise reduction, as I see 3200 ISO being used.

@Vincent: Yes, Vincent, thank you. Initially the low-light was quite distracting, I thought it was too bad that such a great smile and good lighting (it almost looks like a softbox with a rim light) I was skeptical about Noise Reduction software, but after I compared two different kinds, one turned out so well. I went ahead and purchased it and processed this shot from back in June. All the composition elements worked so well for her that night. Thanks for visiting!
Fantastic! The window and light behind her head works very well. The softness in the photo too.

@Thomas Griffioen: Thanks, Thomas - Yes, All the parts worked out very nicely.
very nice portrait but I think it,s too soft you could reduce the amount of noise reduction! thank you for sharing

@eddy: Thanks for droping by, I'll look into that, and give it another run.
Great processing -- wonderful effect! How did you achieve this? Which program / tool? :)

@dj.tigersprout: Thanks, DJ. I increased the exposure and set the white balance in ACR. and then used Neat Image to reduce the noise. What made it smoother than anticipated is that I used the back stone wall to set the Noise level for the current profile, which removed some of the texture of the stone (the software thought it was noise). That's why the smoothness looks processed. I then adjust the curves, etc. Glad you stopped by.
